Join us for a week dedicated to learning about stormwater, what it is, the problems it can cause, and actions people can take to prevent stormwater pollution to our waters. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from the experts and make a difference – mark your calendars and get involved during Wisconsin Stormwater Week!

Local Event Schedule

• Early Bird Event- Sept. 13th, 10am-12pm- Monona Bay Shoreline Clean-Up hosted by Friends of Monona Bay. Meet at Brittingham Boats, Madison.
• Sept. 20th, 10am-1pm- Yahara River Fall Clean-Up hosted by Friends of the Yahara River Headwaters. Meet at Veteran's Memorial Park, DeForest. Refreshments provided.
• Sept. 21st, 2pm-4pm- Native Garden Learning Hub Gathering- Rain Gardens and Downspout Gardens. Learn how these special gardens can prevent stormwater pollution, when they can be used, and how to install them. Planting plans and resources will be available and experts will be on hand to provide design help and answer questions ($5, registration required).
• Sept. 28th, 1pm-3pm- Lake Wingra Community Bike/Run/Walk + Clean-Up. Tables will be set up along the route with experts from various organizations providing information about the watershed and Lake Wingra. Participants are encouraged to collect trash and clean storm drains along the way. Bags and gloves provided. Start near tennis courts at Vilas Park, Madison. (Free)
•  Rain Barrel Sale , All Week Sept. 20th-28th-Cost is $82. Order online and pick up in Middleton, DeForest, or Stoughton. Open to all Dane County residents. Additional reimbursements available to residents of MAMSWaP communities.
